How to set up a Romantic Bath
The Livingstone Isola bath was designed using romantic proportions and comfortably accommodates two people without compromising the indulgence of a deep soak. This Valentine’s Day we are sharing tips on how to romance up your bathroom.
STEP 1 CLEAN YOUR BATHROOM
Ceramic, marble and stone tiles are not only stylish in design to compliment the rest of the space, but are also water resistant and tolerant. They will look luxurious and last for many years without wearing or dating.
STEP 2 CHOOSE A GOOD TIME
Unanticipated guests and interruptions can quickly ruin a romantic mood so the best time is when you know you will be able to relax without the fear of being interrupted. Also make sure that your spouse is available and not busy or coming home much later than expected.
STEP 3 ADD SELECTED ITEMS TO YOUR BATH
Choose items such as bath salts, bubble bath and essential oils to add to your bath. Lavender oil is great for relaxation while lemon oil is good for invigoration. Be careful though, as too many additions might make the water overly fragrant or look too crowded.
STEP 4 SET THE SCENE
Light candles around the bathroom but be cautious not to place them where they can be knocked over. Draw the bath about ten minutes before you are expecting to get into the bath to ensure it does not get cold. Sprinkled rose petals on top of the water adds a romantic fragrant effect. Turn off the lights so your bathroom is illuminated by candle light only.
STEP 5 ENJOY!
Make a playlist beforehand to ensure you have a constant stream of your favorite romantic music playing. Enjoy indulging in glasses of champagne or wine accompanied by strawberries while soaking in the bath and don’t forget to have fluffy towels ready for when you get out.
